ENSEMBLE / VARIABLE

Mullowney Printing Company, Portland, Oregon

In early 2023, I moved my studio to Mullowney Printing Company where I made a series of unique monotypes and drypoint prints with master printers, Paul Mullowney, Harry Schneider and Alejandra Arias Sevilla. The efforts resulted in various exhibitions including, a summer group show at Catherine Clark Gallery in San Francisco, a solo exhibit of prints at Wieden + Kennedy, Portland and my first solo outing with Koki Arts in Tokyo, Japan.

The idea of ‘Summer Hours’ feels inherently languorous. Time slows. The heat of the sun inciting casual rhythms. A lighter way of moving, a perfumed way of seeing. The senses are spiked with sweat and the juice of black plums. The evening lingers.  Flowers burst and whither and emerge again.
